Recently, I put together the reports of Top 30 visits, Private Workouts, Zoom Meetings, Pro Day Meetings, and Combine visits into a cheat sheet of sorts, but in doing so got some interesting insights into who some of their targets might be.
Before we dive in, does this even matter? Does Brandon Beane use these visits to gather information or does he avoid visits with players he really likes?
In past years, several eventual picks had Top 30 visits with the team including:
- Josh Allen
- Tremaine Edmunds
- Ed Oliver,
- Dawson Knox
- Vosean Joseph
- Jack Anderson
- Kaiir Elam
- James Cook
- Jalen Wydermyer (UDFA)
- Justin Shorter.
Last year, Keon Coleman was a Top 30 visit and also met with the Bills at the Combine. Both Javon Solomon and Edefuan Ulofoshio had Zoom meetings with Javon Solomon also meeting at the combine. Frank Gore Jr. met with the team at the Combine meeting and later signed as a UFA. Of course, I was hoping that the Bills would draft Cooper DeJean as he had both a Combine meeting and a Top 30 visit.
So, it’s safe to say that a visit signals genuine interest—but it doesn’t guarantee a player will be drafted. Recent 1st round draft picks like Dalton Kincaid and Greg Rousseau were drafted in the first round without having been in for 30 visits at all.
Today, though, we’re not looking back—we’re looking forward. After reviewing the 2025 draft visits, here are some prospects that stood out:
Texas CB – Jahdae Barron

The highest-ranked player on the list is Jahdae Barron, whom the Bills met with at the combine. His range in mock drafts has been widely varied—some media mocks go as high as 9th, other as low as 23rd. If he slips, he will be in play as a trade-up candidate. At 5’11, 194 lbs, to run a 4.39 40 yard dash with a 1.5 1–yard split speaks to his athletic potential. To only allow a 50.3 QB rating when targeted says a lot more about his ability to play corner at the next level. If he gets past 15 to the Falcons, don’t be surprised to see Big Baller Beane start to make some phone calls.
Texas A&M DE – Shemar Stewart

The next player at the top of the rankings is Shemar Stewart who I put in the same tier as Jahdae Barron. While Stewart could go as high as the top 10, he may slide if teams prioritize positions with more scarcity. If he gets past 14 to the Colts, Beane could look to swing a trade up. An absolute stud athlete, he placed in the top 94+ percentile for most athletic measures at the combine including the forty, the vertical jump, and the broad jump. He might be a dream scenario—but Beane has never been shy about moving up for athletic freaks.
Ole Miss CB – Trey Amos

With both a top 30 visit and a combine workout, we have to consider Trey Amos to be a top target for the Bills in the first round. There is a good chance that he may be available at 30, but don’t be surprised if Beane works a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers at pick 21. At 6’1 195 lbs, Amos has prototypical size for a Bills CB. Combined with a 4.43 40, a good showing in the Broad Jump, and the versatility to play both zone and man, Trey would come into a suddenly old experienced CB room with the recent signings of Tre’Davious White and Dane Jackson and immediately challenge for the number 2 role behind Christian Benford.
Texas WR – Isaiah Bond

This one is tough. On one hand, I wasn’t super high on Isaiah Bond in the first place as his statistical production never lived up to the hype. He is a fast athlete who runs deep routes, but he never took over either at Alabama or at Texas. Good athletes at WR who don’t produce generally don’t do very well in the NFL. So he would already be a gamble. Add in the fact that he is out on bail right now for a sexual abuse allegation and a subsequent countersuit, and he hearkens back to Cory Bojorquez vibes. ESPN ranks him as the 10 highest WR prospect on their board, NFL.com has him 9th, and PFF has him 17th. However, we can’t ignore the fact that Bills had him in for not only a top-30 visit, but also a private workout, a pro day visit, and a combine workout. It is possible that the Bills are simply trying to have more contact to get updates on his legal situation or to see if character concerns are enough to take him down (or completely off) their board. In that draft range in the 4th round, I would much rather have Jalen Royals, but where there is smoke, there tends to be fire.
Ole Miss LB – Chris Paul

Chris Paul wins not only the prize for most unsettling profile picture, but also for getting the second most contact with the Bills of any prospect in this class. The Bills brought him in for a private workout, a Zoom meeting, and a combine meeting. He was also a 4th round pick in my most recent mock draft. ESPN ranks him as their 5th highest rated LB, NFL.com as their 9th, and PFF as their 5th. He fits the Bills uniquely as an undersized LB at 6’1″, 222-lb with good speed, explosiveness, and wingspan who tackles reliably, rushes the passer, defends the run, and holds his own in coverage. Keep in mind, the only two players who were included in a Zoom interview last year was Javon Solomon and Edefuan Elofoshio, both draft picks by the Bills.
